Clean grooves + clean downward impact + ‘spinny’ ball = spin. The trick is developing a downswing move that puts the hands forward at impact with a tight clubhead arc.

Expert Village is full of Village Idiots. Their advice is the WORST I’ve ever heard. Rule of thumb: If they say something, just do the opposite and you’ll be fine.

i get backspin with range balls at the range… you just need to hit down on it and et square grooves, i like the vokey 56 only thing is it rips the ball up. After hitting and getting spin i had pieces of the ball in the grooves. club head speed- 100-110 mph

Also, your grooves can’t be caked up with mud. Always clean your grooves. You know how many times I see guys play a round and not clean their clubs after a shot. Then they ask me how I spun the ball.

you said golf ball like 15 times in 1.34

  16. CommentsNeoFusionProductions   |  Friday, 07 May 2010 at 11:30 am

So it still seems to make sense that when coming through I need to hit the ball before making any contact with the ground… How can I find out my swing speed though?

I also heard Pro v1s have a little more spin than pro v1xs. Not that I can spin it worth a darn..

  22. Commentsevilotto77cheese   |  Friday, 07 May 2010 at 2:06 pm

From what I’ve read the Pro V1s get you more spin than the Pro V1x’s… the review I read could easily have been talking bollocks though

  23. Commentsstevebever   |  Friday, 07 May 2010 at 2:50 pm

v’s are so much sharper though
